Registration:  Once the spam filter is setup, each user needs to visit the spam filter website to register.  By clicking the register link on the main login page, the user will be prompted for their email address and a password.  After submitting this information, the system will then automatically send a confirmation email to the user’s email address.

Login:  Users can login to the spam filter site at http://login.flubix.com.  Users will be prompted for their email address and password to login.  The email address and password are the ones entered in the previous step (registration).

Quarantine:  Once a user logs into the spam filter, a list of potential spam messages will be displayed.  The user can then “delete” spam messages, or “send” on good messages that were captured incorrectly in the filter.  When a user chooses to “send” an email message on, the sender of the original message will be whitelisted permanently for that user.

My Whitelist:  Contains a list of 'SAFE' email addresses that you would like to have bypass all spam filtering.  Any email which you have "sent" to you inbox from the quarantine will automatically be added to this whitelist.

Change Password:  Should the user want to change their password, they can do so by clicking this link.

Adding an Alias Email Address:  When a user has more than one email address, they can “add an email address” to their current logon by contacting their system administrator.  This will allow the user to view the quarantine of multiple email accounts at once, without the need to login multiple times.

How the Filter Works:  The Flubix Spam Filter works by utilizing a variety of filtering methods including: several blacklists, whitelists, statistical, virus, file attachment, country of origin, and many others.  

Normal Operation:  Each day, users will be emailed a summary of their quarantine contents.  It is very important that users regularly visit the quarantine in the first 1-2 weeks (1000 – 2000 emails) of filter operation.  By deleting bad emails, and “sending” on good ones, the filter will learn the characteristics of good and bad emails for that user.  Any mail that has not been “sent on” or deleted in 7 days will automatically be purged by the system.  It is normal for a few spam emails to slip by the filter from time to time, especially during the first several thousand emails.
